Contact and Corrections
How to contact The Record & Rebuttal, identify an article, and submit an editorial correction with evidence.
The Record & Rebuttal welcomes corrections, clarifications, and questions about its editorial content. This is a reading publication, and the most useful messages are specific ones about what a page says.
To request a correction, identify the article clearly. Include the page title, the section name, and the publication date shown on the page. Quote the exact sentence or passage you believe is inaccurate, and state briefly what you think it should say.
Then provide evidence. Useful evidence includes a citation to a published source such as a statute, court rule, style guide, professional standard, or public document, with enough detail for an editor to locate it. A link is helpful but not required. If the point depends on a jurisdiction, name the jurisdiction, since practice varies and a statement that is accurate in one place may be wrong in another.
Please describe your relationship to the subject if it is relevant, for example whether you work in court reporting, transcription, or law, or whether you are writing about a record that concerns you directly. That context helps editors weigh a request, though it does not by itself decide the outcome.
The Record & Rebuttal does not accept requests to remove accurate material, to alter quotations from public documents, or to add promotional content, links, or services. Messages about advertising, sponsorship, or reuse should say so plainly in the subject line.
This site does not publish a phone number, a mailing address, or a web form. Correspondence is handled through the contact channel listed on the main site, and editorial replies are not guaranteed, though every correction request that includes a citable source is read and considered.
